Privileged

CLASS PRIVILEGE
I have increasingly begun to believe that the most important social issue in America is class.
In America 2019 class may well be more important than race, gender, sexual orientation or anything else.

I see a lot of posts in my feed addressing white privilege. Clearly that has validity and...

-------ASK YOURSELF-in terms of living in America, would you rather be middle class black or poor white?----

This is not to deny the importance of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. but generally speaking money is the most important factor in enjoying a decent life in America 2019. Certainly given equal income there are advantages inherent in being white, but the advantage of money is far more important in day to day life than anything else.

We need to start addressing class consciousness, starting with admitting that we have a class based society and that
--------The class you are born into is the single most important determining factor of your life outside of your own personal abilities and talents, more important than race or any other factor.----

I want to see as many posts addressing class privilege as i see addressing racial and gender issues, posts that rather than just addressing specific issues make the point that class exists in America and that people need to realize that their social class is far more important then their race, gender or anything else.

Before somebody calls me on it I want to say that I understand just how much race and other forms of discrimination have affected the social class that people are born into. However, at this point in time we have large numbers of middle-class people who are not just white, not just straight and not just men.

Things have changed and in terms of how this society is working in 2019 social class and income are more important than anything else.
To put it in very blunt terms, a middle class gay black woman is far more privileged than a poor white man.

Money and education are what count more than anything else in 2019 America. When we of the left talk about creating a just and fair Society, our primary emphasis has to be on addressing the inherent disadvantages of all poor persons. We need to start talking about class privilege as much as we talk about any other privilege, continually making the point that poor people of any race color or gender have a lot in common with each other and need to vote accordingly.

(Of course the underlying issue is how the elites try to squeeze all they can out of everyone regardless of race, creed, gender, color or sexual orientation. Their goal is to make all of us slaves on their plantations).

Maybe then we won't get another 4 years of the buffoon.
